The Slovak Medical University in Bratislava (SMU) is an educational institution proudly keeping the tradition of education of healthcare workers in specialized studies and continuous life-long education in Slovakia. the Slovak Medical University was founded in Bratislava by Act No. 401\/2002 Coll. of the National Council of the Slovak Republic on the establishment of the Slovak Medical University, as a state university of higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Slovak Medical University in Bratislava is the only university in Slovakia that provides monothematic education for healthcare professions in all three degrees of higher education, and at the same time, the only institution that has guaranteed complex education of healthcare workers in Slovakia under various names since 1953.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Slovak Medical University is a non-political institution, acting within the Magna Charta Universitatum global university charter, recognizing the values democracy, humanism, and tolerance. It leads students towards adherence to the Hippocratic Oath, protection of life and health from conception until dignified natural death. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Slovak Medical University is a public institution of higher education acting under the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, with the following four faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies and the Faculty of Health. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ter\u00e9zia Kr\u010dm\u00e9ryov\u00e1 MD, PhD.<\/strong> is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Professional Studies at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She also holds the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Medical Ethics at the same university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She obtained her medical degree from Comenius University in \nBratislava and then began her work as a clinical paediatrician. Since \n1996 she has been working in the field of education; she currently \nteaches paediatrics and medical ethics to students of various medical \nprofessions including nursing, physiotherapy, midwifery, urgent medical \ncare and radiodiagnostic science. She gained international experience \nwhile working as Vice Dean for International Relations – a position she \nstill holds. For her compassionate approach to students she was chosen \nto also head the Office for Disability Services at the Slovak Medical \nUniversity in Bratislava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her professional expertise in the HELP2 project lies in 20 years of teaching and clinical experience combined with special emphasis on ethical approach and social topics in medical professions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Zuzana Kafkov\u00e1, <\/strong>MA, coordinates the International Office and Erasmus+ programme at Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. After graduation (linguistic branch), she obtained a Master\u2019s degree in Law at the Comenius University (Slovakia). During her university studies, she acquired knowledge and skills in international relations and intercultural competences (World Expo Zaragoza, World Expo Shanghai). While her field of expertise is project management and international cooperation, she is also interested in the field of education and language learning, Zuzana has multiple year experience in individual language teaching.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
